The Therapy department at UHCW NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist  to jointly lead our Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team based at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

The post holder will work clinically within the elective orthopaedic service, providing highly specialist advice, assessments and treatments to this patient group. This requires both acute management of a variety of both routine and highly complex elective procedures and also sub-acute trauma cases. Therefore candidates will be expected to have significant experience, skills and knowledge within these areas as a band 6 or a current band 7.

The post holder will also have joint management responsibilities for the orthopaedic team alongside the Occupational Therapist band 7 Team Leader in the area. Evidence of Team Leadership skills and MDT working will also be required.

The Therapy service at UHCW NHS Trust is an expanding, forward thinking and highly regarded service and this post offers excellent personal and professional development opportunities within an established, supportive team working closely with our Occupational Therapy colleagues. The Orthopaedic service at St Cross is an expanding service with ongoing investment in new operating facilities.  They have close links with the Orthopaedic team at UHCW including the major trauma unit.

We offer an extended hours, 7 day service which the post holder would be required to be part of.
