Come and join our exciting dynamic team. Due to a redevelopment of the department our service will be expanding and evolving to provide for the increased demand for interventional radiological procedures. This will provide you with a highly innovative and interesting working environment.
As a radiology nurse you will gain the skills to scrub for procedures and to administer conscious sedation, as well as assessing and implementing care to the acutely unwell within the department. For experienced Radiology Nurses there will be future opportunities to consolidate their skills with roles such as delegated consent, nurse prescribing and nurse-led discharge.
You will gain a wealth of knowledge and skills in looking after patients having both vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures, which include both elective patients and emergencies. You will receive full support by our experienced nurses who are from a variety of clinical backgrounds to gain these skills and feel part of the team.
We provide placements for nursing and radiography students, so there is scope for practising as a nurse mentor.
The department offers a variety of shifts, with a rotational commitment to being on an on-call rota overnight and weekends.
Recruiting to Values
To ensure that we provide world-class patient care, we recruit people that can demonstrate the Trust’s Values and Behaviours in their everyday life. Before applying, we encourage you to review the Trust’s Values and Behaviours Framework and Values Based Recruitment Factsheet which can be accessed on the right side of this page under the job description.
The Supporting Information section in your application should therefore
reflect your understanding of the Trust’s Values and associated behaviours. You will be expected to provide us with examples from work experience and/or personal life which demonstrate these values through your behaviour
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
