About us

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest NHS teaching trusts in the country – and soon to be one of the most advanced. We are growing quickly and currently looking for consultants and trainee radiologists to join our forward-thinking department.

Work with us and you will join a multi-disciplinary team who perform over 400,000 examinations every year. We are thriving, and proud to be opening brand new Ultrasound and Plain Film X-Rays in response to growing demand for our services. An entirely new Interventional Radiological Suite will be built in July, featuring four theatre rooms, seven beds for elective/emergency patient care and a day case facility.

As a PFI hospital we are part of a guaranteed equipment replacement programme. This ensures all imaging equipment is exchanged for new, top-of-the-range systems on a regular basis – resulting in a department that is always at the cutting edge of technology.

Currently, we have 3 GE CT scanners in use: one Lightspeed VCT; one 750 HD (64 slice); and a brand new Revolution Evo. Our current MR scanners: one MR 1.5T; one MR 3.0T; and one MR Siemens 360.

We are a Major Trauma Centre (Level 1) and provide all medical specialties on site
