This Consultant Clinical Oncology post is a newly created post which will be based at University Hospital Coventry's (UHCW) Arden Cancer Centre with visiting sessions at South Warwick Hospitals (SWFT) based in the recently opened Cancer Centre at Stratford Upon Avon Hospital.

The principal duties of the post will be to develop and support the Breast and Gynaecology services (including Brachytherapy).

The Arden Cancer Centre based at UHCW is twinned with the Worcestershire Oncology and works in partnership to sustain and develop services. The Arden Cancer Centre and the Worcestershire Oncology Centres currently serve a combined population of approximately 1.4 million people across Coventry, Warwickshire, with North Worcestershire, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. With 9 departmental Linear Accelerators (5 at UHCW & 4 at WHAT), orthovoltage and HDR brachytherapy facilities each trust is fully committed to provide World Class services and facilities.

In addition to a clinically led multidisciplinary QART system, the department benefits from an integrated Electronic Oncology management system (MOSAIQ) which house an e-record, e-scheduling and e-prescribing across Coventry and Warwickshire. Each centre also utilises RayStation for Radiotherapy planning.
