A full-time role has become available within the Enhanced Care Team (ECT) at UHCW. The post holder will be assigned to provide enhanced observations for patients who are high risk of harm to themselves or others on any of our busy wards.

The role of the Senior Enhanced Care Assistant will be to contribute to the delivery of patients under the directions and supervision of the Enhanced Care Manager. The post holder will be expected to be self-motivated and use their initiative when necessary and will be a key resource for the wards in the care of the patients who are high risk of harm to themselves or others.

This is an exciting opportunity for any existing health or social care worker who has demonstrable experience of working with patients/ persons with complex needs in the following settings:

  • Acute Hospital
  • Mental Health Unit
  • Community Healthcare


The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service; working days/nights/weekends.
