University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and well motivated Purchasing Officer to join their Procurement and Supplies Department.
Duties will include obtaining and analysing quotations and raising purchase orders, ensuring the most cost effective procurement of goods and services is achieved, identifying potential areas for cost savings and handling day to day queries from internal customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will possess good computer skills (particularly in the use of Microsoft Office applications), the ability to communicate at all levels, and preferably will have previous experience of working in a purchasing environment.
