Dysphagia Lead – Job share
We are seeking a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our current Dysphagia Lead in a job share. Energy, vision and clinical expertise in the field of dysphagia is essential.
This post includes the opportunity to have regular input into our highly regarded Dysphagia FEES clinic which runs with a Specialist ENT consultant twice a month and to work as part of the FEES and the Videoflouroscopy teams within the Speech and Language Therapy service. FEES, Tracheostomy and Videoflouroscopy competencies are desired but not essential as training in these areas can be provided in house by highly experienced Speech and Language Therapists.
The successful candidate will
- Take a leading role on the service development across the hospital with a focus on intensive care and major trauma.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and problem-solve at a high level.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members and peers
- Provide rehabilitation programs for complex dysphagia patients
- Develop and deliver training in the area of dysphagia to peers and other professionals
