We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Research Nurse  within Diabetes & Endocrinology  

The post holder will participate in the recruitment of patients to clinical trials or research projects within the WISDEM Centre. When working on clinical trials he/she will monitor the patients and observe for side effects during the course of the trial. An important aspect of the role is the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records of data derived from the research studies. The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research. Whilst predominantly working in the specified speciality the post holder is expected to be able to work flexibly across other related RD&I speciality areas as service requirements dictate.

The role involves applying extensive knowledge of clinical research and of trial protocols and their application in practice and research methodology. Additionally, the role requires an in-depth working knowledge of the requirements of local, national and international research regulations.
